This position under the general direction of the designated supervisor, assists in investigations by analyzing latent print evidence for the County. This position evaluates latent print impressions collected as evidence; takes and maintains fingerprint records; verifies quality and information related to those records; compares fingerprints taken/collected with those in system for criminal history, identification of parties, and for possible unsolved crimes; confirms identities of fingerprints related to crimes; testifies as an expert in Court; informs others regarding potential matches for crimes in their jurisdictions; and compiles with Court Orders for expungement as they apply to fingerprint records. Furthermore, this position may provide guidance and support for Biometric Examiner Trainees.
